Training Programme
Bamson has been following the suit of AKZO Sikkens, which believes in the appropriate application of its products. To this effect, the company held its first course for sprayers at Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC) with an Instructor from Holland in 1986. Thereafter 4 separate courses were held yearly. In 1989 the 1st batch of 5 sprayers were sent to Holland with the aim of improving their expertise.
The company has now established its own training centre fully equipped with modern teaching materials including a spraying booth for practicals within its premises and has engaged a full time Holland-trained instructor and technicians who run courses. The technicians also visit workshops and offer technical services to sprayers. As at now over 6,000 sprayers have been trained locally and 76 abroad. As a result of the level of tuition being offered at the Centre, AKZO Nobel of Holland has selected the Centre for their training programme for other African Countries. For the past 5 years courses have been organized for participants from Togo, Nigeria, The Gambia and Ethiopia.
Another Training centre that caters for the northern part of the country was commissioned in 1999.
